Confined Space Entry with Basic Rescue (Awareness), Winch and Self-Rescue

Course Objective:

Confined Space Entry with Basic Rescue course is designed for operators working at a facility with 1 confined space or a series of similar confined spaces with vertical access. Students will gain the skills to perform confined space entry and to assist their coworkers in the emergencies.

Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:

This course will prepare students to safely enter, navigate and exit confined spaces focusing on rescue procedures. In addition, students will gain understanding of PPE needed for the confined space operations, record keeping, pre-entry inspections, proper SCBA use and hazard control.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
  • Confined Space documentation
  • Atmospheric and physical hazards and identification
  • the safe use of SCBAs
  • Communication methods and processes
  • Tripod & winch setup and safe use
