The Role

Irwin’s is currently looking for a talent individual to fill the role of Training Division Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and growing the training division of Irwin’s Safety. The primary focus on this role will include; business development, content management and records management. This role has tremendous potential for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all business development related to the training division of Irwin’s
  • Customer maintenance
  • Generating customer proposals and estimates
  • Up to date and accurate records management
  • Development and maintenance of course material
  • Maintenance and administration of Irwin’s Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Maintenance of course calendar and scheduling
  • Sourcing and oversight new instructors

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in the training/education industry
  • Sales/ business development experience
  • Strong attention to Detail
  • Understanding and knowledge of any legislative requirements within the industry of safety training
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks would be an asset

Job Title: Area Coordinators

Role: Coordinator

Location: Calgary, Edmonton and Grande Prairie 

 

IMC is currently looking for Area Coordinators to join their team. The main function of this role is to generate sales and increase revenues within a specific region in Western Canada.

 

Roles and Expectations

  • Responsible for generating sales in a specific region
  • Ensure customer satisfaction & increase revenues & profits
  • Responsible for generating inside sales (minimum $2M revenue required)
  • Identify requirements for existing customers
  • Responsible for maintaining current contracts and growing revenues a minimum 10% per year
  • Generate quotes for current customers, attain proposal opportunities and demos for regional director
  • Identify new M&A opportunities provide contacts to Regional Director
  • Work in conjunction with operations team to ensure quality and customer satisfaction

 

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will possess:

  • Successful history in generating and closing sales
  • Experience generating proposals and responding to RFQ’s
  • Strong network / database of industrial clients
  • Ability to travel easily within the designated region
  • Experience in Industrial maintenance, construction and safety would be an asset

 

The Role

This is will start as a contract position and convert into a full-time role when $2M in revenue is reached.

Job Title: Inventory Managers

Role: Other

Location: Kelowna, Calgary

 
IMC is currently looking for a part-time inventory and equipment manager to join their team.
The main function of this role is to manage inventory including the delivery, receipt and maintenance schedule of equipment and assets (vehicles) within the Western region.
 
Role Expectations
  • Ensure necessary equipment is available as required
  • Ensure the inventory system is properly maintained and accurate
  • Complete mob and de-mob of equipment for projects as needed
  • Facilitate the movement of equipment within the Western region as needed (travel primarily between Alberta and BC currently)
  • Ensure that equipment is inventoried properly and that inventory levels are maintained as required
  • Ensure that required maintenance of equipment

 

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess:
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of excel, word, and the internet
  • Experience with inventory tracking systems would be an asset but training will be provided
  • A strong work ethic and natural tendency to want to learn
  • A strong attention to detail
  • A valid driver’s license and clean drivers’ abstract.
  • Any history with gas detection and safety PPE will be welcomed.
 
The Role
 
This is a part-time role that can originate in either Calgary or Kelowna and offers an opportunity to move to a full-time position. This role could be suitable for a skilled retiree, student, or someone re-entering the work force. The successful candidate will be compensated on an hourly basis depending on their experience.

Job Title: H2S Safety Supervisor

Role: Technician

Location: Fort St. John

 

Inferno Safety, along with the IMC group of companies, provides the highest standard of full cycle safety services throughout Canada and we are currently looking for H2S Safety Supervisors in the Fort St. John area to join our growing team.

The primary responsibilities will be to ensure that workers are provided with the necessary service and equipment required to maintain a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Attend daily safety meetings with understanding of the HSE policies & procedures
  • Prepare equipment, review JSA with crew to ensure awareness of safety hazards on site
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot equipment when needed
  • Physically fit to be able to perform the tasks that arise daily
  • Able to work 12hr shifts (day / night)
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team atmosphere
  • Ability to run a day/ night shift on a non-critical operation
  • Ability to rig in / rig out gas detection and air trailer, and provide crew training
  • Conduct H2S drill, man down drill and H2S task-specific safety meetings
  • Conduct equipment maintenance procedures at the field level, gate security, rover and roadblock duties
  • Conduct Safety Watch duties as required

Qualifications

  • Valid H2S Alive ticket
  • Valid Level 1, First Aid ticket
  • 2 years of experience but willing to train the right candidate
  • Valid EGSO (Electronic General Safety Orientation)
  • Valid Confined Space & Rescue ticket
  • Valid WHMIS 2015 certification
  • Valid TDG certification
  • Valid Gas Detection & Control Certification
  • PST
  • Clean drivers abstract and a valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol test
  • High Angle Rescue certification would be an asset

Job Title: Medic

Role: Technician

Location: Fort St. John

 

Inferno Safety, along the IMC group of companies (Irwin's Safety), provides the highest standard of full cycle safety services throughout Canada and we are currently looking for Medics in the Fort St. John area to join our growing team. The primary responsibilities will be to provide emergency medical care to injured or ill workers, including making transport decisions within their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide First Aid in line with Federal & Provincial regulations
  • Safely driving MTC’s to and from work sites
  • Maintaining MTC’s, all equipment, and medical shacks. Take pride in the cleanliness of the MTC and/or First Aid facilities. Inspecting and Inventorying equipment daily.
  • Complete pre/post trips on MTC
  • Collect and maintain confidential medical information
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed properly
  • Effectively communicate, solve problems, and make decisions
  • Coordinate emergency care and intercepts if required
  • Follow all Health and Safety Policies
  • Read, understand and comply with the company’s Medical Control Guidelines, safety policies and job procedures, as well as all applicable government laws and regulations.
  • Report to the area station manager and take specific job directions from Operations for the station in which he/she is working.
  • Support and enforce HSE in the workplace
  • Work within their applicable scope of practice determined by their licensing body
  • Work long hours, both day and night shifts
  • Maintain occupational certifications, and be familiar with and follow medical protocols within their scope of training

Qualifications

  • Must possess valid OFA Level 3 / EMR Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience preferred but will train a suitable candidate with less experience
  • Current (unrestricted) registration with an applicable provincial licensing body
  • Previous industrial experience is preferred
  • H2S Alive ticket is an asset
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers’ License with clean driver’s abstract
  • Valid WHMIS certification
  • Valid TDG certification
  • Canadian Construction Pipeline Safety (PCST)
  • EGSO (Enform)
  • Petroleum Safety Training (PST)
  • Confined Space Awareness is an asset

IMC (Industrial Maintenance and Construction) is an emerging risk management company created from the acquisition of four established companies that offer a broad-range of risk management services across Canada. These companies offer; construction and maintenance services for wind and rail, rope access maintenance, and organizational HSE. The merging companies have similar but diverse client bases and lend themselves naturally to cross-promoting and sharing resources to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.

  • At least 8+ years of relevant marketing experience
  • At least 5+ years of marketing management experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience working in an M&A environment
