Skid Steer course certifies trainees to operate a skid steer on a worksite.
Skid Steer Training is a Heavy Equipment Entry-Level training course. Trainees develop the needed skills to safely operate skid steer machinery, utilize safe operating procedures and identify hazards on the worksite.
This 1-day Skid Steer Training Course combines classroom experience with hands-on training. In-class, participants learn relevant provincial and federal skid steer regulations, site and equipment inspection techniques and preventative maintenance, and general safety tips. In the hands-on portion the instructor demonstrates proper operator procedures, covering startup and shutdown procedures, steering and positioning, and loading and hauling. Trainees must pass a written exam and demonstrate proficiency with the machine in a hands-on practicum to receive their certificate.
