Supervisor Safety Training

Course Objective:

Supervisor Safety Training course gives managers and supervisors the tools to recognize hazards and effectively mitigate them to prevent injuries and illnesses while growing a culture of safety at the workplace.

Learning Objectives & Specific Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this course, students will gain a variety of skills designed to help them understand and find applicable OH&S legislation to their workplace, and apply it. This course will also provide students with an understanding of their responsibilities in the workplace and how to take leadership roles in developing and implementing a mitigating program. In addition, students will understand the consequences of non-compliance and how to exercise their due diligence.

• Legislation, rights and responsibilities
• How to recognize and control hazards
• Preventing fires and emergency plans
• Office ergonomics and sources of injury
• How to inspect a workplace and investigate an accident
• The creation and implementation of a workplace health and safety program
