Confined Space Vessel Extraction Training

IRWIN'S Safety offers a specialized Confined Space Vessel Extraction course designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective rescue operations in low- to moderate-risk confined spaces. This training ensures compliance with government regulations regarding confined space rescue procedures.

Course Objectives:

The primary goal of this course is to certify trainees in performing rescue operations for a specific confined space, enabling employers to meet safety standards and legal requirements.

Learning Outcomes:

Participants will:

  • Develop and execute a rescue plan tailored to a pre-assessed confined space.
  • Achieve competency in space-specific rescue techniques.

Note: This course focuses on specific confined space rescues and does not provide a general Rescue Operations certificate.

Course Content:

The training spans 1 to 2 days and includes:

  • Reviewing a pre-existing hazard assessment of a designated confined space.
  • Collaborating with the instructor to develop a rescue plan for that specific space.
  • Engaging in practical scenarios to execute the rescue plan, with the duration depending on prior experience, available equipment, and space characteristics.

Note: Employers are encouraged to provide rescue equipment to ensure realistic practice conditions.

Evaluation:

Trainees are assessed based on their performance during practical rescue scenarios.
