  • Apply correct radio procedures, including caller and station identification.
  • Utilize appropriate communication etiquette on government channels.
  • Employ clear speech modes, including the phonetic alphabet, to prevent miscommunication.
  • Make and receive distress calls effectively.
  • Understand range limitations and the use of repeaters in radio communication.

  • Introduction to Two-Way Radio Equipment: Overview of radio components and their functions.
  • Radio Procedures: Training on caller and station identification, message structuring, and standard operating procedures.
  • Communication Etiquette: Guidelines for maintaining professionalism and clarity on government channels.
  • Speech Techniques: Instruction on speaking slowly and clearly, using the phonetic alphabet, and employing standard radio terms such as "Affirmative" and "Over."
  • Distress Calls: Procedures for initiating and responding to emergency communications.

  • Certification:

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive certification from the Ministry of Forestry, valid for three years. This certification is essential for professionals involved in wildfire firefighting and dispatch operations.
