Argo Operator Training

IRWIN'S Safety offers a comprehensive Argo Operator Training course designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for the safe and efficient operation of Argo all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). This one-day program combines theoretical instruction with practical experience, ensuring operators are well-prepared to handle various terrains and conditions.

Course Overview:

The Argo Operator Training course is an entry-level program that certifies individuals to operate Argo ATVs. Participants will learn about relevant provincial and federal off-road vehicle regulations, general operating procedures, and techniques for navigating different types of terrain, including slopes and water. The course also covers vehicle maintenance, including cleaning and storage, as well as the use of vehicle accessories. Additionally, basic survival skills, such as building a fire in the event of an off-road emergency, are taught.

Learning Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Understand federal and provincial off-road vehicle regulations.
  • Develop riding strategies to maintain machine stability on various terrains.
  • Learn maintenance procedures, including cleaning and storage of the Argo vehicle.
  • Acquire emergency survival skills pertinent to off-road situations.

The training includes:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Overview of provincial and federal off-road vehicle regulations.
  • Riding Strategies: Techniques for maintaining stability and control on diverse terrains.
  • Maintenance Practices: Instruction on proper cleaning, storage, and upkeep of the Argo vehicle.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Development of basic survival skills for off-road emergencies.

Certification:

Upon successful completion of a written exam and demonstration of practical proficiency, participants receive an Argo Operator certificate from the Canada Safety Council, valid for three years.
