Course Overview:
This course spans 80 to 120 hours, providing in-depth training on:
- Emergency Response Protocols: Mastering professional procedures for handling various medical emergencies.
- Pharmacology and Drug Administration: Understanding the fundamentals of administering life-saving medications.
- Patient Handling and Transport: Learning safe techniques for lifting, moving, and transporting patients during emergencies.
- Participants engage in realistic emergency simulations with live subjects, practicing essential first response techniques in a controlled environment.
Key Learning Objectives:
- Trauma and Medical Emergency Response: Assessing and stabilizing critical injuries, including fractures, spinal injuries, and severe bleeding.
- Advanced CPR and AED Skills: Gaining proficiency in advanced CPR techniques and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in various emergency scenarios.
- Airway Management: Mastering advanced airway management techniques to treat patients with compromised breathing or obstructed airways.
- Triage and Transportation: Developing skills to assess, prioritize, and transport injured individuals in high-pressure environments.
Certification:
Upon successful completion, participants receive an EMR certification recognized by the Red Cross, valid for three years. This certification ensures compliance with provincial health and safety regulations in high-risk workplaces.
